Barack Obama Offers Apology to Nancy Reagan for Remark

What did the President-elect say about the former first lady?

A presidential transition rep says Obama called Reagan to voice his regret over making a "careless and off handed remark" about her during a press conference, reports Politico.

Politico says that at the press conference, a reporter asked Obama if he'd talked to all the "living" presidents, and Obama replied, "I have spoken to all of them who are living," adding: "I didn't want to get into a Nancy Reagan thing about doing any séances."

Reagan reportedly conferred with an astrologer, Politico says.
